continuation of cube experiential drawing, working with relief models, serial sections, and interpolation to create a realistic and inhabitable pier in the first project requiring a human scale.  Inspiration taken from the Race Street Pier.

FOLLY
​

Installation following design principles taken from study of architectural quilts/constructing analogue surfaces from the wall project and utilizing this to create a component which is standardized and used to create a folly, to enhance the natural landscape, while remaining functional to a certain degree.

WALL
​

Studio competition investigating the potential of a wall to act as a physical, social, ecological, or phenomenal mediator within the built environment.  Also includes the introduction of a formal program to develop both the narrative and tectonic of the wall system.  My concept involves a series of pipes acting as a physical divider, art installation, and greywater recycling system, combining functionality with design.

BOATHOUSE
​

Design proposal for a new boathouse located along the Schuylkill River; will act as the physical joing between land and water. Must react to and accommodate a series of program and square footage requirements.  Overall design a result of an architectural joint study, taken from commonplace joints throughout the city of philadelphia.

OBSERVATORY
​

Urban observatory that accommodates a space for observation, a space for studying/archiving/recording, and a space for resting; must be multi-leveled, have a clear circulation, and be composed of interior and exterior spaces.
